People Analytics: The Foundation for AI in HR

Organizations everywhere are being asked to develop an AI strategy, yet many HR teams struggle with a critical question: Are we actually ready for AI?

The truth is that successful AI initiatives depend on something most organizations have not fully developed yet: trusted workforce data, clear governance, meaningful metrics, and a strong People Analytics foundation. Without these building blocks, AI can amplify confusion rather than create value.

In this session, Dr. Leonidas Guadalupe will provide HR leaders with a practical roadmap for advancing from basic workforce reporting to strategic People Analytics and ultimately AI-enabled decision making. Attendees will learn how to assess their organization's current level of analytics maturity, identify common barriers that prevent progress, and understand the key capabilities required at each stage of the journey.

Drawing from more than a decade of experience building People Analytics functions in healthcare and manufacturing, Dr. Guadalupe will share real-world examples, lessons learned, and actionable steps that HR professionals can take immediately regardless of where they are starting.

Participants will leave with a clear framework for evaluating their organization's readiness, prioritizing investments, and creating a path toward responsible and impactful AI adoption in HR.

Dr. Leonidas Guadalupe has spent more than a decade helping HR organizations move beyond reporting on workforce issues and toward advising leadership with data-driven solutions. As a People Analytics practitioner and HR consultant, he has worked within some of the most complex healthcare and manufacturing organizations, building predictive models for recruiting and attrition, supporting workforce and diversity strategies, and establishing the first People Analytics function at Children's Health.

Dr. Guadalupe holds a Ph.D. in Systems and Engineering Management from Texas Tech University, an MBA, and a Bachelor's degree from Florida International University. He has completed advanced training in analytics, artificial intelligence, leadership, and workforce strategy through organizations including The University of Texas, INFORMS, Visier, and other leading institutions.

Today, he serves as Founder and Principal Consultant of People Analytix Solutions LLC, where he helps organizations build trusted People Analytics capabilities through stronger governance, meaningful metrics, modern technology, and practical workforce insights.

His passion is helping HR leaders earn a seat at the strategic table by turning workforce data into drivers of business decisions.
